Travel son body on clothes
Approaching walk dense dense sew
Thought fear late late return
Who speak inch grass heart
Repay achieve three Spring sunlight

Wanderer's Song
The thread from a fond mother's hand
Is now in the jacket of her absent son.
As his departure came near, closer and closer was the stitching.
Her mind fearing that his return would be delayed and delayed.
Who says that the heart of an inch-long plant
Can requite the radiance of full spring

The Song Of A Wandering Son

Threads in the hand of a doting mother
Clothes on the body of a far-journeying son.
Upon his leaving, she adds one stitch after another.
Lest happily he may not return so soon.
Ah! How could the heart of an inch-long grass
Requite a whole spring's infinite love and grace?

The Roving Son
Threads in the hand of a doting mother
Is mover into the roving son's garments?.
Before he leaves, she makers her stitches double.
Fearing he will be long in returning.
However deep his gratitude, how can he ever
Repay a debt that will bind him always?
